Army, 104th Infantry, Private 1st Class, From Nov. 25, 1943 to April 20, 1946.

Howard was stationed in Germany and went through France, then Belgium. He served in the Battle of the Ruhr. The Germans were interfering with radio messages and Howard’s company commander chose him to take the German’s messages to the platoon leaders and report the messages from memory.
