Bev Evert
Ask the Nanny
Beverley Evert was trained at Norland Nursery Training College, Europe's most famous nanny school and the one preferred by royal families and movie stars alike.

She interviewed backstage at the Royal Ballet Company in London for a job with the principal dancer. She worked for one British and three American families as a live in nanny before marrying and starting her own family. Bev had a fun and varied experience with her "charges" who ranged from living the strict regime of the upper class family in England to the more laid back family routine of professional couples in the USA. She travelled widely and enjoyed the diverse lifestyles, cultures and family situations.
Bev started the "New World Nannies Academy and Placement Service" in Richmond, VA with a prior employer and ran it for almost 10 yrs. After living briefly on a sail boat while home schooling her three children she moved to Hampshire County where she fell in love with the mountains and the people. She became a foster mother and was lucky enough to adopt two wonderful children. Bev worked as an Americorps*VISTA volunteer with the Eastern Regional Family Resource Network and learned a lot about the needs and resources of the people in Hampshire County.
Bev is now the Program Director of the Court Appointed Special Advocate Program of Hampshire County that represents the best interest of abused and neglected children in the court system through the use of trained volunteers. A firm believer in continuing education Bev has an AAS in Child Education, a BS in Organizational Leadership and is working toward a masters degree.
With 5 children and experience with many more she hopes to help families with their parenting questions, finding local resources and other child related issues. Please email her at ukbeve@hotmail.com
