What is a legal?
A legal is a published document of government agencies that is required by law to be published in the local newspaper. Financial reports and request for bids are just two types of documents that are frequently published in our paper.

Why do you only put the services pertaining to an obituary on the Internet?
Due to our paper only being published on Wednesdays, many people are not informed about deaths in time to attend services or send condolenses. It is our goal with the online obituary page to provide the county with this timely information. This does not require us to publish a complete obituary on the Internet.

Why doesn't the web site update first thing on Wednesday mornings?
We use the internet to keep the county informed of late breaking information and past county residents of what is happening back home. We feel it is not fair to those who purchase the paper to receive their information after people who log on and get it free. We normally try to put the information up by 3 p.m.

Why can't I see the navigational bar completely?
Computers read information differently. McIntosh users will find this site harder to navigate than a PC user and Netscape users will have more trouble with web sites on the Internet than Internet Explorer. We have placed links at the bottom of every page to insure that everyone can easily navigate throughout the site.

What are directory listings?
The directory listings are just like the yellow pages, but better! They are more current and they have the information you are looking for at your finger tips and easy to find.
