Trojan Countdown

SUNRISE SUMMIT — The Trojan Countdown provides a good glimpse into how the teams at Hampshire High stacked up this past season. Here were some of the trends of the year.

Good to be a girl

Girls track, girls cross country, girls soccer, and volleyball all finished the regular season with winning records and the girls basketball team completed a remarkable run in the postseason to reach the state tournament in Charleston.

Trojans on the run

It is apparent the strength of Hampshire athletics lies within the ability to run. Girls track, girls cross-country, boys cross-country, and boys track took down 4 of the top 5 spots on the countdown. The girls track team was the top spot last year and the girls cross country team finished 2nd, the same order as this year.

Hampshire treads above .500

The Hampshire athletic teams in total won 227 contests and lost 220 for a winning percentage of 50.8%.
