Jared Riley, 35 of Augusta passed away on Saturday June 1, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born on March 8, 1984, in Winchester, he was the son of Stanley and Brenda (Funkhouser) Riley of Slanesville.

He worked as a department manager for Lowes. He graduated from Hampshire High School class of 2002 and went to and graduated from West Virginia University. He loved to hunt and go fishing.

Along with his parents, he is survived by a son, Silas Isaac Riley; a daughter, Sadie Renee Riley; a niece, Riley Poland; a sister, Michelle Poland and husband Corey of Romney; a half-sister, Lori Riley of Winchester; maternal grandfather, William Funkhouser of Woodstock, Va.; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 7, at McKee Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta. Funeral services will follow at noon on Friday at the funeral home. Rev. Steve Wilson will officiate. Interment will be private in Ebenezer Cemetery in Gore, Va.

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta.
