HANGING ROCK — A 2012 Hampshire High graduate died and 2 other people were injured in a 2-vehicle crash Sunday night.

Rachel Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Route 29 around 11 p.m. Sunday. She and Brittany Keesling were passengers in a 2010 Subaru Impreza driven by Adam Fox. Fox and Keesling were transported to Winchester Medical Center.

West Virginia State Police said a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by William Lorenz, 35, of Winchester, Va., collided with Fox’s Subaru shortly before 10:40 p.m. Sr. Trooper D.A. Bowland and Trooper 1st Class M.T. Sherman were dispatched to the call.

Hampshire County sheriff’s deputies Josh Kesner and Jamie Carter assisted at the scene and with the investigation.

Also responding were fire departments from Augusta and North River; rescue squads from Augusta, Romney and Capon Bridge; Mineral County Medical Examiner Chris Guynn; and Riverside Collision and Towing.
