Outstanding pitching has led Romney Post 91 to a positively lopsided win-loss record through last weekend’s action.
Tyler Holt threw a no-hitter last Sunday, but it was just one of the many highlights of a 4-win weekend.
Shane Ennis followed with a one-hitter in the 2nd game as Post 91 swept Buckhannon just a day after taking 2 from Elkins.
Romney managed 15 hits in both games. Holt had his big performance in the 11-0 opening gem, and Ennis worked in the 13-0 second act.
Holt struck out five and Ennis 10 in the pair of wins. Jamison Jones went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs in the first game and went 2-for-3 with a double in the second to lead the offense.
The day before, Saturday, saw another sweep by Romney.
Colton Dorsey pitched to a 2-0 win in the opening game, and Matt Maiers took the hill in the second contest, a 9-0 win.
Post 91 is now 24-5.
