Rebecca “Becky” Ruth Stover, 65, of Romney, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at home.
Born May 2, 1948, in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Velma Stover. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Fred Cash.
She lived in Romney the last 2 years under the care of her niece, Angela Stotler and husband Darren. She suffered with Alzheimer’s for the last several years. She grew up in Alexandria, Va., and spent most of her life there. She attended Hampshire County Senior Center and Covenant Baptist Church.
Surviving are 3 sisters, Linda Richardson of Laurel Springs, N.C., Karen Kirk of Romney and Sharon Foster of Woodsboro, Md.; 2 brothers, Leon Stover and wife Phyllis or Roanoke, Va., and Robert Stover and wife Ruth, of Rigby, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial picnic will be held Thursday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at the home of her niece, Angela, 140 Potter Rd., Romney. For additional information, please call 304-703-1163.
