6 07 13 Municipal election is Tuesday

The City of Romney will hold its municipal election Tuesday, June 11.

City Hall is open Saturday from  9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for early voting.

Polls are closed on Monday.

On Tuesday, election day,  polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The position of mayor and three council seats will be on the ballot.

Mayor Dan Hileman is running unopposed.

Councilmen Duncan Hott, Jamey Rinker and Tim Anderson are each seeking to retain their elected positions on the council. Joining the race are candidates Jennifer Porter Roberts and Jim Kinder.

Council terms are now four years in length, as is the mayor’s job.
