Rosaline Jane Wince Turner, 86, of Frederick County, Va., died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born in 1927 in Slanesville, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Nellie Wince. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Carol Lorraine “Joe” Turner on Feb. 17, 2012, after being married more than 65 years; and a brother, Frank Wince.
She was a graduate of Romney High School. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed as a clerk at Round Hill Shopping Center, Winchester, and attended Round Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Lenora Crim and husband Gary of Clarke County, Va., and Mary Snapp and husband Joe, Winchester; three sons, Bernard Turner, Richard Turner, and Harry Turner and wife Regina, all of Winchester; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Hott of Romney; and her caregiver and beloved best friend, Beth Cook.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with pastor Steven Wells and pastor Roy Riley officiating.
Interment took place in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Va.
