CHARLESTON — The West Virginia University baseball team dropped the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader with Texas Tech, 6-4, in 10 innings at Appalachian Power Park. WVU outfielder Bobby Boyd, of Silver Spring, MD, pictured, scores on a single in the eight inning. New Martinsville native Justin Fox tied at score at 4-4, with a single, forcing the extra innings. The loss dropped the Mountaineers to 9-13 overall and 2-3 in Big 12 play while the Red Raiders improved to 16-9 and 3-2.
