ROMNEY – All main roads in Hampshire County have been plowed and West Virginia Division of Highway crews are working on the secondary roads.
DOH spokesperson Denzil Davis said work will continue 24-7 until all the secondary roadways are plowed.
“We had a full crew this morning and a full crew is working tonight on secondary roads,” said Davis around 7:23 p.m.
“We’ve treated some secondary roads with stone and had to cut a few trees out of the roadways. Nothing serious.”
Davis said the DOH isn’t expecting more snow but the weather people are talking about winds increasing around midnight.
Depending on the overnight temperature, Davis said, some roads may freeze over and more plowing and treating with stone may have to be done on Thursday.
