Click here!A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued by the National Weather Service for Hampshire County and the Potomac Highlands. The watch is in effect from late tonight through Tuesday afternoon for a wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow.
Accumulations of up to a quarter inch of ice is possible.
Timing: beginning Tuesday morning… mixing with and changing to
rain by Tuesday evening.
Temperatures: lows Tuesday morning in the upper 20s to around
30. Temperatures will slowly rise into the mid 30s by Tuesday
evening.
Winds: southeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts around 30 mph.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow… sleet… or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
