2-22-13 WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY issued for Hampshire

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain – especially above 1000 ft. The advisory is in effect for Hampshire County until 10 a.m. Saturday morning (Feb. 23).

* Accumulations: less than one tenth of an inch of icing. Up to
1 inch of snow and sleet.

* Timing: this morning through Saturday morning.

* Temperatures: in the lower 30s.

* Winds: southeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while
driving.
