Ernest Garfield Crouse, 65, of Shanks, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at his home.
Born June 17, 1947, in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Goldie Puffinburger Crouse. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Lloyd, David and Ralph Crouse; and a sister, Clara Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Evelina Kaylor Crouse; three daughters, Kathy L. Linaberg and husband William, of Romney; Diana Whetzel and husband Robert, of Shanks; and Lisa A. Crouse; four sisters, Edna Crouse of Whitacre, Va., Emma Jean Crouse of Slanesville, Susan Crouse of Whitacre, Va., and Mildred Crouse of Winchester, Va.; two brothers, Richard Crouse of Slanesville and Rumsey Crouse of Whitacre, Va.; five grandchildren, Ernie and Amanda Crouse, Rebecca and Kalab Amereihn, Amanda and Joe Foley, Evelyn and Cody McKenery, and Allen Linaburg; and two great-grandchildren, Conner Wayne Crouse and Alaina Jade Amereihn.
A memorial service was held Friday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. at Romney Assembly of God Church, Romney, with pastor Jim Mou officiating.
McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, handled the arrangements.
