Edward Joseph Donohue Jr., 76, of Romney, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born Feb. 11, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward Joseph Donohue and Maria A. Derosse Donohue.

He was an electrical engineer for Pepco until retirement. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara C. Fields Donohue; a daughter, Rose Marie Donohue Hearn, of Stafford, Va.; a stepson, Franklin R. Smith, II, of Alabama; four stepdaughters, Brenda Denise Murrell of Romney, Kathy Lynn Smith of Chesapeake, Va., Susan Diane Smith of Elkins and Erin Michelle Smith of Zebulon, N.C.; three grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. in McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta.

Interment was in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney.

McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, handled the arrangements.
