Borderline diabetes is now called Pre-diabetes and is recognized as something to take seriously.
The American Diabetes Association defines fasting blood sugar ranges for those who are not diabetic as 70-110. Diabetes can be diagnosed with two fasting blood sugars at 126 or greater.
Individuals with blood sugars between 111 and 125 are Pre-diabetic.
