Roy Leslie Turben, 79, of Wardensville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at his home.
Born May 12, 1933, in Hayfield, Va., he was a son of the late Clarence L. and Etta M. Bredlove Turben.
He work for Star Paper Tube in Amarillo, Texas, and was a member of the New Life Tabernacle in Moorefield.
Surviving with his wife, Theressa Powers Turben, whom he married Dec. 23, 1998, in Amarillo, Texas, are a daughter, Wyllow “Allee” Hawley, of Wardensville; four brothers, Robert Turben and James Turben, both of Winchester, Va.; Stanley Turben of Clear Brook, Va.; and Charles Turben of Cumberland, Md.; and a sister, Nina Byers of North Pioneer, Calif.
A graveside service was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Mount Falls, Va., on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Eugene Whetzel officiating.
