Rando Clarke Roe, 95, of Winchester, Va., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Spring Arbor of Winchester.
Born July 23, 1917, in Shenandoah County, Va., he was the son of the late Andrew Clarke and Beulah Dellinger Roe. Also preceding him in was were his wife, Ida Whitacre Roe, whom he married Nov. 14, 1944, in Winchester and who died Sept. 8, 2006; a sister, Eunice Slonaker; and three brothers, Hunter, Roscoe and Jennings Roe.
He was a truck driver for Hemingway Transport Inc. in Winchester for 30 years. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Edinburg, Va., and was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II.
Surviving are a son, Larry C. Roe of Frederick County, Va.; three sisters, Juanita Patterson, Genevieve Roe and Blanche Palmer, all of Winchester, Va.; great-niece Lori Nates and husband Fred, of Winchester; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Ebenezer Christian Church near Gore, Va., on Wednesday, Feb. 6, (today) at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Mounts officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
