Patricia Ann Fishel, 63, of Wardensville, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at the Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, Va.

Born Nov. 4, 1949, in Winchester, Va., she was a daughter of the late Forrest and Anna Eveland Morris Gray.

She worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and at the Christopher Peacock Cabinetry in Wardensville. She was a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church and Capon Valley Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary in Wardensville.

Surviving with her husband of 40 years, James H. “Harper” Fishel, whom she married July 30, 1972, are two sons, James D. Pierce Jr. and wife Diane, and Christopher A. Fishel and wife Jennifer, all of Wardensville; a brother, Robert “Bobby” Gray of Winchester, Va.; a sister, Margel Wilson of Winchester; three grandchildren, Dalton Pierce, and Aaron and Ryan Fishel; three step-grandchildren, Tommy, Justin and Nicole Timbrook; and a step great-grandchild: Alicia Marie Gosnell.

Funeral services were held at Wardensville United Methodist Church on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Naglic officiating.

Interment was at the Wardensville Cemetery.
