Eunice Golden Taylor, 94, of Solomons, Md., formerly of Wardensville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Asbury-Solomons Health Care Center.
Mrs. Taylor was born May 14, 1918, in Hardy County, she was a daughter of the late J. Harrison and Sarah M. Bradfield Miller. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Francis S. Taylor Jr., whom she married June 6, 1936, in Mount Rainier, Md., and who died Dec. 14, 1998.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Baker United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, a Lay Delegate for the West Virginia Conference and CEOS, all of Baker; and the Eastern Star in Cheverly, Md.
Surviving are two sons, F. Stuart “Stu” Taylor III of Scottsville, Va.; and Harrison M. Taylor of Apopka, Fla.; a daughter, Carol A. Prince of Port Republic, Md.; a sister, Wanda Connelley of Wardensville; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. with pastor Loretta Brinker officiating.
Interment was in Baker Methodist Church Cemetery in Baker.
