The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for the Hampshire County area from 10 p.m. this evening (Monday) until 6 p.m. Tuesday.

* Wind chill values — zero to 10 below zero, particularly over the higher elevations.

* Temperatures — ranging from the single digits to the teens tonight and Tuesday.

* Winds — west-northwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
