The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire Hampshire County area from this evening (Tuesday) through tomorrow morning for freezing rain and sleet.

Light sleet/ice accumulations from a trace to up to one-tenth inch at elevations above 1500 feet are expected. Overnight there is a 90 percent chance of rain, possibly mixing with sleet and freezing rain.

Cloudy with a few peeks of sun later in the day is forecast for Wednesday. Highs in the mid 40s and lows in the upper 20s with a 40 percent chance of rain. Rain may mix with freezing rain early.

Thursday: Partly sunny with highs in the lower 40s and lows in the mid 20s.

Friday: Mostly sunny with highs in the lower 40s and lows in the mid 20s.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow… sleet… or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities… and use caution while
driving.
