The West Virginia University men’s basketball team faces Kansas State on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
Tickets are still on sale through the Mountaineer Ticket Office at WVUGAME.com and 1-800-WVU GAME. On gameday only, a $10 ticket will be available at the Coliseum ticket windows for youth (under 18) and senior citizens.
Prior to the game, Peter Wilson returns to his hometown of Morgantown to perform his solo arrangement of the National Anthem. Wilson is a Marine Violinist and 22-year veteran of the “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.
Nearly 100 WVU men’s basketball alumni are expected to return to campus as part of alumni weekend. The group will be honored at halftime.
This is the second time coach Bob Huggins has faced his former school while at West Virginia. Last season, the Mountaineers pulled out an 85-80 double-overtime victory over the Wildcats in Wichita, Kansas.
WVU is looking for its first Big 12 Conference win at Texas at 9 p.m. tonight. The game will be broadcast on MSN radio and ESPN2. Juwan Staten leads the Mountaineers at 11 points per game, while Aaric Murray is averaging 10.5 points per game. Freshman guard Terry Henderson ranks third on the team in scoring (8.8 ppg) after pouring in 21 points in a loss to Oklahoma last weekend.
