Winter storm warning now posted for Hampshire (Updated 2:10 p.m.)

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Hampshire County for a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain which is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday. The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect.

Snow and sleet accumulation of 4 to 6 inches are expected. Ice accumulation between one and two tenths of an inch is possible. Snow and sleet will mix with freezing rain at times.

A Wind Advisory was posted by the National Weather Service at 1:40 Wednesday afternoon. The advisory will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. Winds are expected in the 20 to 25 mph range with gusts up to 50 mph.
