The Central Hampshire Public Service District announced at 12:30 p.m. today that Old Sunrise and New Sunrise would not have water until probably tomorrow.

James Hoffman, general manager of CHPSD said he is aware of the problem.

“We are having a hard time keeping water in the Sunrise Summit tank. We are losing more than we can pump,” said Hoffman.

The tank holds 100,000 gallons of water.

Hoffman, his crews and the West Virginia Rural Water Association have been working to find a leak in the water system since Nov. 9.

Hoffman is asking the public to report any running water or standing water puddles to his office at 304-496-8882.
