Davis History House

Miss Kate and Miss Mary Davis donated the land for the Hampshire County Public Library and requested that their home be preserved for its historical and architectural value to the community.
The Davis History House, owned by the library is the only log house still standing on Its orginal lot in the town of Romney. The house contains, in addition to the Davis Family Bibles and other family materials, memorabilia of the Civil War and other interesting articles from private collections. It is maintained by the library and volunteers will give tours by special arrangements. Please call Amanda Snyder at the library for more information.
(Below are some photos of the Davis History House and the area that surrounds it.)
