Annual Dinner Celebrated Milestones & New DirectorsWelcome Sandra Hunt as President, Patricia Maxwell as Vice President, Anne-Renee Livingston, Jonathan Rayburn, Michelle Abruzzino and Melissa Shockey as Directors. Judge Cookman installed them for the coming year at the Annual Dinner November 12. The Springfield Valley Volunteer Fire Department served a scrumptious meal, with table decorations provided by the Hampshire High Horticulture Class. Thomas VanMeter, Region VIII Workforce Investment Board director, spoke on Workforce West Virginia, Monty Hogbin, facilitator of the Disabled Veterans Outreach Program, shared information on services to assist with hiring disabled veterans, and Jesse Martin spoke on disability services for employers. Door prizes included two US Mint Quarter Dollar Sets and a VISA Gift Card from Capon Valley Bank, a car emergency kit from State Farm/Carol Shaw, a computer tote bag and a large umbrella from Eastern WV Community & Technical College, a 1-hour fitness training session from Hampshire Wellness & Fitness Center, a Fenton Glass Spring Basket from Ft. Mill Ridge Foundation, a $20 gift certificate from Glass House Studio, 2 Classic Club Car tickets from the Potomac Eagle, a night's stay at Hampshire House 1884. The Chamber recognized Robert Mayhew, Mayhew Chevrolet for 20 years of day-to-day operations, Anderson’s Corner and Mario’s Italian Restaurant for Outstanding Small Business, 2008, and Milleson’s Walnut Grove Campground for proudly serving Hampshire County for 25 years.
