of Heritage Days.
Encampments & Re-enactments
The re-enactors do NOT
use live ammunition. Every safety precaution is
taken to protect both
re-enactors and spectators. Spectators are cautioned
to observe
markings designating the edge of the safe viewing area
for watching
the mock skirmish.
Noon Saturday, September 6 Skirmish between Confederate and Union Forces at Fort Mill Ridge Trenches west of Romney. The event will also be visible from the Potomac Eagle Scenic Rail Excursion.
Civil War River Camp Re-enactors will be camped at Sitar Farm west of Romney just off Rt. 50 west of the Blue Bridge.
9AM-5PM Sat , Sun noon-4PM Sun French & Indian War era camp
Potomac Valley Transit Authority buses will run Sat 10-5 Sunday 12-4 from Shaffer's Funeral Home along Main Street, stopping in front of the court house and BP Station and then down River Road to Stump Farm, and out Rt 50 to the River camp at Sitar farm, Fort Mill Ridge and then on to Shenandoah Guns (Buck's museum).
